Description

Origami is a Chinese ancestral art but mostly practiced in Japan. The name "Origami" is of Japanese origin (Oru: folding and Kami: paper). Origami is a subtle art with multiple applications: religious, practical, poetic, decorative, scientific, which requires only a piece of paper (without using scissors or glue) and a little patience. All types of paper can be used to make Origami folds but it is best to avoid those that are wrinkled or those whose folds do not fit This art introduces us with a simple piece of paper to make small wonders. Accessible to all, from 4 years to 104 years, origami requires two qualities: a minimum of fingering ... and patience. Qualities that can develop with practice. In Japan, origami has long been recognized for its pedagogical virtues and taught in schools. Advised for the artistic awakening of the children, it is also an interesting base for the learning of the mathematics: to do geometry with his hands, rather than with a rule, seems to be an effective method, which one even begins to s' to inspire in France in certain classes. Manual and creative activity with multiple virtues, origami is first of all an art of living, which requires just a sheet of paper and a child's soul.
