Levels: from CE1 to CE2.
It would probably take two words to describe this workshop: create and interpret.
Poetic creation is attractive in that, at the respect of sometimes strict norms, it affixes an exercise of freedom. Because, of course, there are all these rules (rules outside poetry-syntax, spelling ... - or the rules that are specific to it-the metric, the rhyme ...) but poetry also borrows many paths as for example, the famous "poetic license". And it is also through this freedom that we can give birth and nurture a respect for the rules of language. Because we work well the same matter that we use at school: language. But here, he takes clothes perhaps less austere. And this can allow slam apprentices to learn one or two things without realizing it. But let's not forget that the primary objective is to express oneself through an artistic practice. Frequenting the rules of French would be a cherry on the cake, in a way.
Interpretation is the second leg of slam. Because it is a sound poetry, poetry that only makes sense when it is "said". So we must learn to say it well: the posture, the diction, the intonation or the prosody are as many fields of exploration that we will have to survey. Staging, and saying the poem just written, is not easy. To do so is to accept giving value to one's work and it is sometimes a challenge for some. These are the challenges that await us for this year of creation, in the slam-poetry workshop.
